New Zealand Poetry Society Competition
A reminder that entries for the New Zealand Poetry Society International Haiku Competition 2019 need to be received by 31st of May. The competition has a number of sections for adults and juniors of primary and secondary school age as well as school group entries, so please read the guidelines carefully. Welcome to our news for April and thank you to all who sent in items of interest.
Haiku is celebrated in a myriad ways around the world everyday though April 17th designated International Haiku Poetry Day has come and gone and with it a number of events and celebrations to mark the occasion.
The haiku poets of Watersmeet Hobart made a haiku window at Fullers Bookshop in Collins Street to celebrate the day.

The window display proved popular among passers-by who were free to add their own creations. Catch up on the full report here.
