Melbourne-based haiku poet Robyn Cairns will be holding a launch of her new chapbook In Transit at the Dancing Dog Café (42A Albert Street, Footscray – phone: 03 – 9689 2566), between 2.00 p.m.-5.00 p.m. on Sunday, 17 July. All are welcome. Please RSVP to Robyn at rbcairns@gmail.com ASAP.
The venue is a ten-minute walk from either Footscray or Middle Footscray Railway Stations. Car parking is available near the café.
Finger food and drinks will be provided.
Robyn will be reading from In Transit (recently released by Ginninderra Press, in the Picaro Poets series). She will also give musical interpretations of her own poems on clarinet, supported by her instrumental teacher, jazz musician Jon Hunt.
Robyn’s linocut haiga featuring her own poetry will be on display as well.
