The Illawong Autumn Ginko was held on 11 April 2018 at Como Pleasure Grounds, Como NSW. In attendance were Carol Reynolds, Margaret Mahony, Pat Meredith and Ros Pitt. We started with coffee at Blackfish Café overlooking beautiful Carina Bay. Later we sat in the grounds to discuss haiku written by us and others which resonated. Wandering alone for about half an hour we jotted down ideas and some wrote haiku. The day was glorious, nature at its best providing plenty of inspiration. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park and offered more haiku for critique, then said our goodbyes until next season. This is only our third meeting as we are a new group founded by Carol. Hopefully our numbers will grow.
