Once again health problems of some of our older poets limited travelling further afield, and once again the Cloudcatcher winter ginko for 2022 was held at the Alstonville home of Quendryth Young. There were five poets in attendance, with three others joining us in virtual participation from their own homes.
The focus of the day was on concision, and we looked at some examples of our own work that exhibited a restraint of word usage while maintaining juxtaposition, and generally discussed the significance of structure.
We acknowledged those who have trodden this land in ages past, before wandering in a nearby park, which features some old growth forest rather overtaken by garden escapes and other opportunists. Subsequently eight members joined together for the following Round Robin conferencing.
