Provisional dates
The hosts of Haiku Down Under 2022 are excited to announce that we have provisionally set the dates for a second edition of the weekend conference: August 16–18, 2024.
We anticipate that HDU 2024 will again be a Zoom-based conference, organised for and by haiku poets in our region of Australia and New Zealand.
The new organising committee will confirm the exact dates, timing, form and contents of the conference. The Haiku Down Under website will be periodically updated with new details as they become available.
Call for volunteers
The HDU 2022 organisers are now calling for New Zealand and Australian based haiku poets to join the organising committee for HDU 2024. Organising of the next conference will begin from around August 2023 and ramp up in intensity during 2024. The committee will likely conclude its activities around the end of August 2024.
If you have relevant skills and experience, or simply enthusiasm for a second conference, please complete the Expression of Interest form for joining the committee. Background information on the form includes details of the roles and responsibilities we are looking for volunteers to fill, as well as some indication of the anticipated time commitments and other expectations for the operation of the organising committee.
The deadline for submitting your Expression of Interest is June 30, 2023.
The new committee is expected to start meeting from early August.
