exchanging glances
bonfire sparks
rise into the night
ancestral roots . . .
down into the earth
into the stars
shadow dance
the flicker of flame
over stone
all our strivings . . . yet with such ease
moonlight slips through water
sunrise
all these little fires
in the frost
