The confluence journal has initiated a northern hemisphere ‘Summer Postcard Project‘, involving the exchange of postcards each containing a Japanese short form poem. David Green, confluence associate editor, writes:
To deepen our confluence community — and celebrate the Japanese short form poetry that brings us together — we invite you to send poetry-filled postcards to one another around the globe this summer*.
*Yes, we know it is winter in the southern hemisphere. We hope lots of you south of the equator will take part in this fun project too.
Sign up on the confluence website by 15th August to be matched with a partner poet by 31st August. Send your postcard by 15th September and then keep an eye on your letterbox. Full details, including the sign up form, are available on the confluence website.
